I’ve been using LLMs as coding aids for some time, and they have definitely enhanced my abilities, both through speeding up things I could have otherwise done, and also allowing me to try out analyses that I could envision but would not known how to execute.
I would think about comparing arts district subsidies to subsidies for a new stadium and try to show that they were not just directing the economic activity to that particular zip code but what kinds of businesses entered the city or metro area
Interesting, you mean look at spillover effects? Good idea! I’ll get Codex on it…Don’t think I can easily add stadium subsidies since I don’t have that data, but if there is a dataset with that would be fun to throw into the mix.
